UnmaskEd provides educational therapy services, IEP advocacy, and parent coaching to families with K-8 students with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
Welcome to UnmaskEd! We are so glad you found us! At UnmaskEd we work with K-8 students (whether they are in school or homeschooled) with intellectual and developmental disabilities using a play- and interest-based model to encourage academic growth. UnmaskEd's mission is to improve the quality of life and confidence of our students and their families by providing neurodiversity affirming care, strength-based education, and collaboration. Educational therapy utilizes academic interventions to target underlying learning challenges. There are so many potential barriers to learning for students. Stressors outside of school, anxiety at school, learning disabilities, executive function, and behavior are only some possibilities. An educational therapist helps a student and their family identify these barriers and provides strategies and instruction on navigating these barriers. We provide educational therapy services based on student needs (ie. reading, math, executive functioning, behavior, relationship with learning) to reduce barriers to learning. We also provide IEP advocacy, IEP support, and parent coaching/consulting.
