At Ability House, we create more than a place to live. We create a place to belong, where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities feel valued, supported, and empowered to live life their way.
At Ability House, we believe support should never feel one-size-fits-all. We create a welcoming, home like environment where adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities are known as individuals, encouraged to make their own choices, and supported in building greater independence. What sets us apart is our small, hands-on approach. By supporting only a few people in each setting, we can truly know and listen to each person and recognize them as the expert on their own life. Through Person Centered Thinking, support is built around individual strengths, goals, routines, relationships, and interests from everyday life skills to meaningful community experiences. We work closely with families, guardians, case managers, and support teams while honoring each person's rights, privacy, choices, and independence. At Ability House, ability comes first and home should always feel like home. Current Opening: Adult female Host Home placement available.
